BUSINESS & ENTREPRENEURIALISM
More and more people are working from home, becoming self-employed and starting their own business than ever before. This is is only set to rise with a recession looming and with the current global climate due to COVID. Globalisation, e-commerce and technological advances have removed many of the barriers to entry, business and entrepreneurialism has seen a large increase in popularity over the past couple years.
Business and entrepreneurial courses are not new, however the secondary curriculum and syllabus always lags many years behind, and much of what is taught can be irrelevant and obsolete in the modern world. This course will have a focus on e & m-commerce, mobile marketing and businesses of the 21st century.
In this course we will start off by teaching students the basics and fundamentals of starting and running a business, and as the course progresses all elements will be covered to give students a firm foundation in what is needed in order to become a successful entrepreneur & run a successful business. Throughout the course we will have in guest speakers and people from the community who run successful businesses come in and be interviewed about their successes and field questions from the students.
